Here’s another
chance to use the periscope to check out play ahead.
Out of bounds borders the entire right side of this
hole. Many large trees protect against the “bail
out” on the left hand side and doesn’t offer an
advantageous shot to the green. A tee shot directed
towards the electrical tower or just left of the
Memorial Shelter roof will find the center of the
fairway due to downhill and left to right landing
areas in the fairway. Approach shots generally are
blind from 100 yard out. The green is protected by a
left greenside bunker, a drop off on the left and
back, and out-of-bounds not more than 15 feet from
the right side of the green. Former gophers
consistently list this as one of the hardest driving
holes in the state.
